Andrea Vogler

Percussion Adjudicator - Category Final

RNCM graduate Andrea Vogler enjoys a varied career as a freelance percussionist. She has worked in the West End with Tommy Steele, toured with Lesley Garrett and Paul O’Grady; and plays regularly with orchestras including Northern Sinfonia and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic. Recent highlights include performances at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Last Night of the Proms and the Hong Kong Arts Festival.

Andrea was a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician Percussion Finalist and went on to perform and record the world premieres of Lewis Percussion Concerto, and Bourgeois Concerto for Percussion and Wind Orchestra. She was the first solo percussionist to reach the finals of both the Royal Overseas League and Haverhill Sinfonia competitions, and subsequently toured the UK as a recitalist for the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and Making Music.

Andrea is passionate about music education. She teaches at the Royal Northern College of Music and JRNCM; and is a visiting tutor at Chetham’s School of Music. She is a committee member for the Percussive Arts Society UK, and is also an active member of the National Association of Percussion Teachers. She has represented both as a guest speaker at Percussion Days across the country.
