Percussion Adjudicator - Category Final

In 1998 Adrian became the first percussionist to win the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician. Adrian then took third prize in the Eurovision Grand Prix for Young Musicians in Vienna. While studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, in 1999 he formed the percussion quartet 4-MALITY.

As a soloist, Adrian has performed with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool, Royal Philharmonic and Irish Chamber orchestras. His concerto performances include Macmillan’s Veni, Veni, Emmanuel, Keiko Abe’s Prism Rhapsody II, Joseph Schwantner’s Percussion Concerto, and the world premiere of Dinuk Wijeratne’s Percussion Concerto.

Adrian is Principal Percussion with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as well as Professor of Percussion at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Adrian also works regularly with the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, the London Sinfonietta, the Graham Fitkin Band, the Colin Currie Group and John Wilson orchestras.
