Zara Larsson gives us a track-by-track review of her album... in emojis

Did you listen to in the this week? Well, after her killer performances of So Good and Beyoncé's All Night, we caught up with the lady herself to talk about her debut album. Released today, So Good is 15 tracks of pure pop goodness, and Zara was kind enough to review it for us track-by-track... in emojis.

Yep, if you've ever wondered what the international symbols for Lush Life or I Would Like should be, you're about to find out.

What They Say

“I would pick two friends holding hands or the couple, two people holding hands, because the song is about you talking to a friend or someone you love and saying they should believe in themselves. I would also pick a shooting star. I feel like that means ‘believe’, without bringing religion into it, because it’s not about that. It’s about believing in yourself.”

Lush Life

“A sun and the dancing twins. And a drink! I feel like that’s self-explanatory.”

I Would Like

“A palm tree. The tango one with the red dress. And the heart eyes.”

So Good

“That is really hard, actually! Maybe the two pink hearts and a cloud, because like ‘ooh you’re on clouds if you’re in love with me.’”

TG4M

“Bad stuff like the cigarette, the beer, the little green gun. It’s about this guy or girl, whatever, and I’m basically saying ‘you’re too good for me’. I’m like the bad guy, but I want you anyway.”

Only You

“The water drops and the eggplant emoji!”

Never Forget You

“Is there an animal that would fit? The elephant, of course!”

Sundown

“I would pick a sunset and the little flirty one.”

Don’t Let Me Be Yours

“A lipstick and this one [crosses hands over chest]. It’s like, don’t make a mistake, don’t do it.”

Make That Money Girl

“So many good ones, everything that has anything to do with money, like the moneybag, the money with wings, the dollar tongue is good. And the pink girl sign and the fist bump.”

Ain't My Fault

“The sassy lady and a pink bow.”

One Mississippi

“The heart eyes and one screaming, the running man and a happy smiley. It’s ‘One Mississippi, you're here, lovin' me with your whole heart, and two Mississippi, we scream, to watch each other fall apart. Three Mississippi, you're gone, sayin' that you're done, you don't want it no more, and four Mississippi, you're home like nothin' ever happened at all.’ Maybe we should do a house on the fourth one actually.”

Funeral

“Maybe a church or something similar. And a casket.”

I Can’t Fall In Love Without You

“The broken heart, but also the angry face, because I feel like it’s a very sad song, but it’s got some anger in it. It’s the only song on the album that is explicit, but it’s a really beautiful ballad. It’s about a break-up, but it doesn’t feel like a good break-up, and you don’t really wish the person well. It’s a frustrating thing.”

Symphony

“The notes, the music notes, the violin. Music stuff.”
