Who could knock Ed Sheeran's Shape Of You from No.1?

Shape Of You has been No.1 for 11 weeks in 2017.

He is currently the joint-sixth longest running chart topper in UK history. Only , Drake, Wet Wet Wet, Bryan Adams and Frankie Laine have spent longer on the top spot.

It may not seem like it, but it can't last forever. Shape Of You will one day be knocked from the top spot and here are the artists who are currently gearing up to give Ed a run for his money.

Drake - Passionfruit

Drake - More Life - the listening party

Hear MistaJam, DJ Target and journalist Kieran Yates reviewing Drake's 'More Life'.

The UK singles chart is not, we have to admit, at its most varied right now. That's because there are so many Ed Sheeran and songs in the Top 40.

So, by simply playing the numbers game, Drake must be in the best position to take the No.1 from Ed. He has 12 songs on the chart, with Passionfruit being the highest at No.4.

Drake is the king of streaming and dominated the charts in 2016 with his hit One Dance, Controlla and Too Good and wants to repeat that success one year on. Your move, Ed.

Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson - Symphony

Clean Bandit have teamed up with Zara Larsson for their new single, Symphony and judging from their track record, they've got a good chance of knocking Ed from No.1

The British band have previously topped the charts with their singles Rather Be and Rockabye and this week crashed into the charts at No.6, causing a few waves in a chart otherwise dominated by Ed and Drake.

Can the added sparkle of Ms Larsson help take the top spot?

Harper Beckham - Supermum

Could Harper Beckham have a hit with Supermum?

She sung a song for her mum Victoria, which she wrote herself.

It's pretty unlikely, but Nick Grimshaw and The Radio 1 Breakfast Show team are backing Harper Beckham's Mothers' Day song, Supermum, for No.1.

It's not going to happen, but the song Victoria Beckham posted on Instagram, sung by her daughter, is exceptionally cute.

Here's the song.

Harry Styles - TBC

It's possible we'll have to wait a little while longer before Ed loses the top spot, but Harry Styles is a sure-fire No.1 single. Right?

Harry is set to drop his first solo single on 7 April 2017 and it would have to be a real stinker (as if) to miss the top spot.

Arguably the One Direction boy with the most expectations from his new music, Harry will be gunning for the top on Friday 14 April. Can you stick with Ed until then?

Ed Sheeran - Galway Girl

But then, there's always Ed Sheeran.

Shape Of You has been at No.1 for 11 weeks now and Galway Girl is hot on its heels.

It's quite likely we'll see a little switch-around at the top of the charts before we get an Ed-free No.1.

We like change, but we like Ed too.
