has been chatting to Rolling Stone magazine about how his friendship with used to help him in the romance department, revealing that he’s even hooked up with some members of her famous girl squad.

"I was this 22-year-old awkward British kid going on tour with the biggest artist in America, who has all these famous mates. It was very easy,” said Ed. “I would often find myself in situations just kind of waking up and looking over and being like, 'How did that happen?'"

While Ed is now happily loved up with old school pal Cherry Seaborn, he’s not the only celeb who has his mates to thank for finding him dates, as these famous couples can attest.

They’ve recently reunited after splitting back in 2015, but and his girlfriend Eleanor have another member of to thank for them getting together in the first place: Mr Harry Styles.

In an interview with Seventeen magazine, Louis said, "Eleanor was a friend of Harry’s. He worked with her friend at a local bakery. One day, Harry met up with his friend, Eleanor came, and we met."
