Strictly is just what the doctor ordered!
Swapping her scrubs for sequins, Dr Punam Krishan is Strictly superfan made contestant!
The Glasgow-born GP, best known for being the resident doctor on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ daytime show Morning Live, is stepping out of her comfort zone and into the Ballroom.
Punam is a huge fan of the show and cannot wait to get started. A practising NHS GP and media medic, Dr Punam specialises in maternal and family health, as well as mental health. She first hit our screens in 2019 when she was asked to present Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Scotland production Laid Bare, where patients were given a comprehensive medical check-up.
By 2021, Dr Punam had begun making appearances on Morning Live and on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland, and in 2022 she published her first children’s book titled How to Be a Doctor and Other Life-Saving Jobs. She’s since been commissioned for two more children's books which are set for publication in 2025.
Trilingual Punam can speak English, Hindi and Punjabi and even played the cello as a child, but one thing not on her impressive list of achievements is taking on the Strictly dance floor. But that’s all about to change in 2024!
