Meet Nick Knowles

His Ballroom makeover is coming!

We’re sending out a Nick Knowles SOS... soon on Strictly!

Best known as the heart and hammer behind DIY SOS, Nick Knowles has been a mainstay of British TV for nearly 40 years. Before his presenting days, Nick started out on building sites, all while writing music and comedy in his spare time. Determined to break into TV, he spent two years working his way up, starting as a runner to sending scripts to the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

For the past two decades, Nick has been the face of BAFTA-winning DIY SOS the BΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s longest-running primetime factual series. In its 22nd year, the show continues to transform homes and lives across the UK, with one of its most notable projects being the creation of a community for Grenfell Tower survivors and a roof garden at Great Ormand Street Hospital.

But DIY SOS is just one part of Nick’s TV legacy. He’s also hosted shows like Break the Safe, Who Dares Wins, Secret Fortune, and braved the jungle on I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! More recently, he’s been globe-trotting with Channel 5, fronting travel series like Into the Grand Canyon, Into Death Valley, The Mighty Mississippi, and Nick Knowles in South America.

And if that’s not enough, Nick’s got musical chops too. In 2017, he released his album Every Kind of People and even hit the iTunes Number One spot with his cover of ‘Make You Feel My Love.’ With a family full of performers, his three sisters are dancers and his brother runs a record company, Nick clearly has rhythm in his genes. While he hung up his dancing shoes at age eight will he be able to dust them off and bring the moves to the Strictly 2024?
