Strings final

Jennifer Pike has established herself as one of today’s most exciting instrumentalists. She first gained international recognition in 2002 when she won Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician of the Year and was the youngest major prize winner in the Menuhin International Violin Competition. Since then she has performed extensively as soloist with major orchestras worldwide. Eminent conductors with whom she has worked include Sir Mark Elder, Andris Nelsons, Sir Roger Norrington, Jukka Pekka Saraste, Leif Segerstam, Tugan Sokhiev and John Storgårds.

As a recitalist and chamber musician, Jennifer Pike has collaborated with artists throughout Europe. She appears regularly at Wigmore Hall and in 2017 curated and performed three recitals in one day celebrating Polish music, including specially commissioned work. She has had many other works written for her, and has recorded for Chandos, Sony and ABC Classics. She recently recorded the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the CBSO and Edward Gardner, which was acclaimed in the Observer for her “innate musicality and mercurial technique” and as “breathtakingly beautiful” by the Sunday Herald.
