Meet Kaye Adams

We're so ready to see Kaye hit the Ballroom with a bang (but not literally...)

We're so excited to welcome journalist and presenter Kaye Adams to the Strictly dance floor this year!

Kaye's a legend in the world of broadcasting, starting out as a trainee journalist at Central Television in Birmingham - a far cry from her Scottish hometown of Falkirk - with a focus on political and news journalism. It was here she got her first big break, securing an interview with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

She then moved back to Scottish TV in 1988, becoming a reporter for Scotland Today, before fronting talk show Scottish Women for the next six years from 1993-1999. It was soon after that ITV daytime show Loose Women came knocking, seeing Kaye anchor the show from its very first episode up until 2006.

Following a seven-year gap, Kaye returned to the panel and still co-hosts the show regularly to this day, and has appeared in almost 1000 episodes. In fact, she's now following in the footsteps of fellow hosts Gloria Hunniford, Penny Lancaster, Christine Lampard, Frankie Bridge, Sunetra Sarker, Ruth Langsford, Katie Piper and Judi Love, who have all graced the Strictly Ballroom over the years!

In addition to her success on Loose Women, Kaye's established herself as a leading radio host, fronting her own show on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland every weekday morning since 2015, and also launched podcast How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams earlier this year. You may have also seen her on The One Show, The Wright Stuff, The People Versus and The Celebrity Circle.

Kaye now resides in Glasgow with her partner Ian and their two daughters Charly and Bonnie, but is about to make the journey south to Elstree as she takes on the challenge of Strictly 2022!
