Meet Richie Anderson

5, 6, 7, 8! Richie's bringing the Steps to Strictly.

Adding long days in the rehearsal studio to his early mornings on breakfast radio, it's Richie Anderson's time to shine in the Ballroom!

Richie is a familiar face and voice to millions across the UK, being part of the presenting team on the Radio 2 Breakfast Show alongside former It Takes Two host Zoe Ball. But his career in broadcasting began back in his home city of Birmingham with a work experience placement at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ West Midlands. He quickly climbed the ranks to become an in-house reporter and was dubbed 'Roaming Richie', gaining recognition for his fun on-the-fly interviews with fans before and after football matches.

In 2015 he landed his own show at the station, which ran for five years, and he's since hosted radio coverage for The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music Awards, Glastonbury and the Eurovision Song Contest.

Now a much-loved member of the Radio 2 family, Richie has been involved in many big events, including raising £877,000 for Sport Relief in the Dare To Tri event, alongside Jo Whiley and Reverend Kate Bottley. He's also presented numerous segments for The One Show and was party of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One Platinum Jubilee hosting team.

He's also appeared on Celebrity Mastermind, Richard Osman's House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Weakest Link and Rolling In It, as well as being a regular on It Takes Two. Now he's bounding into the Ballroom as he takes centre stage on Strictly!
