Louise started cooking at a young age, and was always encouraged to be in the kitchen with her mother since she can remember. When Louise became a young mum she wanted to give her children wholesome, home cooked food. TV cooking programmes then became her education.

She’s currently addicted to buying cookbooks but Louise often cooks from whatever’s left in her fridge and then forgets to write the recipe down. Her children have now bought her a book for her to note them down in.

Louise loves Jamie Oliver as he made cooking accessible to the ‘ordinary’ person who may not be able to afford expensive and inaccessible ingredients. His was the first cookbook she ever bought and she loves his attitude towards family and his passion for implementing healthy eating for children.

Although Louise watches MasterChef every year, she never had the confidence in previous series to apply. Now she’s turned 44, she’s realised ‘life is for the taking’, and decided to take the opportunity and show her cooking to the judges.
