Having previously been a bartender, James currently works in a wine shop and is doing a WSET wine course. He loves both wine and cooking and enjoys pairing up wines with dishes.
He once spent two whole days preparing a five course meal for 25 of his girlfriend’s family using two indoor kitchens and one outdoor kitchen in Spain in 35 degree heat!
James’ favourite chef is Nathan Outlaw, having eaten at both of his Port Isaac restaurants. Restaurant Nathan Outlaw** had the best food James has ever eaten and he was blown away by how effortless it all looked on the plate.
James also loves Judo which he has been practising since he was four years old. He has won BJC and BJA national competitions. He also surfs and cycles whenever he can and enjoys photography.
