Jago
Jago are a melodic rock band from the Bungay-Harleston area. They began life in 2002 as a bedroom based duo but gradually their numbers rose until by the end of the year they'd found Dan the drummer and the five-piece line-up was finalised.

mini review
One of the strongest unsigned talents that Suffolk has to offer. The song-writing is consistently superb and it is clear that a lot of effort has been made to get the instrument sound and the vocals working incredibly well together. I strongly recommend you listen to this band. Their confidence in performing makes them a joy to listen to live.

The full Jago line-up is:

Matthew Mead - Vocals, acoustic guitar
Wayne Elvin - Guitar, backing vocals
Steve Renaut - Guitar, backing vocals
Matt Wilkinson - Bass
Dan Peck - Drums

They recorded their first album in a home studio in spring 2003 and off the back of it were regularly playing to crowds of 200-500 people at their gigs.

By the end of 2003 the time was right to get an album professionally recorded and 'For What It's Worth" was born, bringing together a blend of their older songs and some new material.

We invited them into the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Suffolk studios to record some tracks exclusively for UWR. You can hear one of these tracks from the links above and by tuning into Unsigned Web Radio here. We will change the exclusive live tracks featured on this page and on UWR regularly so make sure you keep coming back to hear them all.
