Hello Aaron, Thanks for what you do. Your stuff is original, pure, natural, honest and fresh. Each song has its own soul. "If this is love" is my fav and makes my eyes tearing every time I listen to it. Every time!! You must be a beautiful person with a beautiful soul, because your eyes are full of romance and joy. And they can argue with me if am not right! I wish you success, luck, find your true love and never, never let it go. Sometimes hard to see it, but follow your heart. Keep writing those fantastic songs for your fans -there are so many of us out there! I dont know if you ever read these comments, but really wish you do. my god, you have no idea how long i've been trying to find 'if this is love' i heard it on channel 4's ad for unsigned bands, and fell in love with it lol. its such a beautiful song im soo glad i've finally come accross it :] lol kinda fell in love with the long haired guy on the ad too, but shh :p

oi "e.g. tom, ipswich" everybody is somebody, so im not a nobody. uni students come from all walks of life and i have my reasons for studying. your view shows youre still inside the box that some uni students exist within. "uni student, that says it all" hunh? "e.g.tom ipswich" i think that says it all about you. we dont all have to like aarons stuff. Hey all! I heard a snippet of this song, and found out it was Aaron Short. Normally, id get really excited over a song like this. Unfortunately, I find that it relies heavily on melodic structures and instrumentation techniques used by other artists - established and unknown! There are far too many to name. whilst this melody is haunting and beautiful and definately works well for the rather simple and subtly-conformist (another artist trying the "simple-but-effective" to allow for reading between the lines and hence over-rating of lyrical prowress)lyrics, i find that it lacks originality. And as an artist, there is nothing worse than witnessing another drawing upon various influences and exploiting them, and then beholding (and marketing) the outcome as significant and unique. Dont get me wrong, this chap isnt the only one. And often, a lot of music involves an element (or elements) of this. But cast your mind back over the alltime greats, and music you've heard. As ive said i could give many examples and I know that this occurs a lot in the music world. But this is way too obvious a borrowing. Those who have a good knowledge of music will know what i mean! There is something about this tune which screams "notice me" yet fails to offer an undertone of originality and genuineness. The song, after initial "wowing" is actually quite dull and doesnt really go anywhere. I know there are some who will not agree,but as I said, initially I liked it. So please try to keep an openmind and think about it. We are all entitled to our own opinions! I wouldnt NOT listen to it, but I refuse to go out of my way to do so either! I must credit the instrumentation (as borrowed as it is) as it does help to add develop the ambience and depth of the song. But next time Aaron, try something that comes from within, not various externals that you've processed and re-worked within!

discovered aaron a few years ago and fell in love with the voice. already got an old cd from him and been really impressed to discover the new one. the songs are still great, even better. the voice is sensual and mature. overall a great artist with a natural talent that will make many people fall in love with himm.....
