mini review
Soft vocals with an occasional Johnny Cash quality. The folky pop-rock style glosses over the darkness in the lyrics allowing the listener to gradually discover the different layers to these songs.

They are augmented by guitarists and backing vocalists Graham Welham and Jon Lowe and Geoff Battersby on drums.

They have been together for three years playing gigs around Suffolk and North London.

They cite the Beatles, Dylan and Gene Clark as their influences while believing in using harmonies to try and enhance their sound.

Their third album "Into Tomorrow" was released in January 2006. One of the songs from the album, "Envy", is included here in its Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Suffolk live session version. Only slightly prematurely, Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Suffolk's Stephen Foster named it in his Top 5 albums by local artists for 2005.

I first heard the blind poets a few years ago and i think their music is brilliant.

Gary, The Blind Poets
We're busy working on our 4th studio album. bit of a change in direction, opting to go slightly rockier whilst still retaining the melodic and lyrical style of the BP'S. it's coming together nicely, and should be out in a few months time.

Lousi, NAIROBI

e.g. Tom, Ipswich
The Runes do a song called Envy, and they do it so much better than you guys!

Anthony, Stowmarket
Great to see you at the Railway last week. E

fan from suffolk
nice to see something new on here, like the voice and music its good to see other bands on here but you cant wonder if the same ones are here if no new ones reg on here cause i know theres loads of local talent out there but its hard when they get slagged off for just trying to entertain us and no wonder they give up because they get no support from the public. Well done for getting in the top 5 great stuff keep it going ...

e.g. Frank, Brewers Arms
Great feature in the evening star. Hope to see you at the Railway.

Earl, Ipswich
