What does body positivity mean to you?

Body Positivity for me means just truly accepting and loving yourself for who you are and not listening to the absurd views that are pushed out by the media.

How do you feel about the term plus-size?

Even though we live in a world where we have don’t the term minus-size, but we do have the term plus-size, I don’t mind it because so many amazing women have taken that term and have made it such an empowering movement

How can I make peace with my body when I’m bigger than most of my friends?

It’s my body, it’s my choice and how I choose to show my confidence is feminist to me.
Felicity Hayward

The only way to make peace with your body if you are bigger than your other friends is to understand that there are no two humans on this planet that are the same and you need to aspire to be the best version of yourself and not compare yourself to anyone else.

I’m not very confident about my body and don’t want to go out and meet new people because of it. What can I do?

If you’re not very confident with your body, I really think clothing has such a huge impact and you have to make sure you are wearing something you feel comfortable in, because if you don’t feel comfortable in your clothes, you ain’t gonna to feel comfortable in your skin.

How can I get enough self-love to wear a bikini on the beach? The thought terrifies me!

If you’ve never been to the beach in your swimwear before because you haven’t felt confident in your body, go with your family, go with your friends, go with people that you love. All wear the same colour, go as a gang and you’ll feel so much stronger as a collective.

How do you keep up your confidence when getting negative comments online about showing too much skin?
When I get negative comments online, you have to understand that those people are coming from a place of insecurity and actually, you need to keep on being you and ignore them and only fight hate with love.

What do you say to people who think its un-feminist to show your body online and that it’s just for men?

To the people online who say that me showing my bum, my stretch marks and my skin is un-feminist and it’s for the male gaze have got it so wrong. It’s my body, it’s my choice and how I choose to show my confidence is feminist to me.

Which body positive changes would you like to see in the world in 2019?

Body positive changes I want in 2019? Wiping out the word diversity, because diversity should be a normality. We should be representing every single person, every little girl and boy should have someone they feel they can relate to.
