The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms Inspire Young Composers Scheme aims to help the broadest range of young composers aged 12 to 18 to gain skills and confidence in expressing themselves through music.
It offers unrivalled opportunities such as the chance to have music performed by professional musicians, to hear it on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3 and to win a coveted Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ commission.
Following a series of Composer Labs which have been taking place across the UK since February, the Inspire Young Composers' Competition is judged by a panel of leading composers from varied musical fields, and composers have until 28 May to enter.
All entrants are invited to attend an Inspire Day on 2 August, which provides an opportunity for young composers to meet professional performing musicians and composers, their peers and key music-industry people, to participate in creative workshops and attend a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms concert.
