Well we arrived here on Sunday afternoon after a short hop over to 'Grenoble' by plane and a wearing but pretty three hour bus journey from Grenoble airport through the mountains to our hotel, in a really amazing resort with the most breathtaking views, called 'Les Menuires'.Μύ

After sorting out boot and board/ski hire, it was Monday before I made my way onto the slopes. Although, there was a slight catch with the snowboard trip that we organised as when I arrived at the shop to collect my equipment I had pre booked to hire out, it turned out that all the boards had already been given out for the next couple of days. This meant it would be Tuesday night as the soonest opportunity I could lay my hands on one.

Anyway I was super eager to just get out in the snow so I just made do with some ski's from the hotel until Tuesday. My first day on the slopes was interesting to say the least. Skiing is definitely harder than it looks if I'm honest, and I spent a lot of my time on my bum or face down in the snow (well nearly!)

After two days of skiing I decided it wasn't for me. Snowboarding is a lot more fun. You fall over loads more but you definitely are more motivated to succeed in what you are trying to do, because you would rather stay on your feet than land on your backside with a smash.
