Last Day in Hawaii

Our young Cornish surfer Tassy Swallow has come to the end of her month long training in the beautiful Hawaiian islands. But she leaves with some great memories and experiences. Read Tassy's latest blog, and her earlier entries from Hawaii.

Today is our last day in paradise. The surf has taken a turn for the worst so I think we are just going to go for a quick one before the wind picks up this afternoon then get on with our packing.

Our experience on the North Shore has been amazing. We have met so many new people from different cultures and backgrounds, eaten so many new and exotic fruits you don't get back home, surfed so many different surf breaks and seen so many new landscapes.

We have tried things we might not have done before- Longboarding in Waikiki, Yoga at The Turtle Bay Resort and we ate the most expensive and tasty babyback ribs, most likely in the world!

We've also done the beneficial training with Joel everyday and surfed the trickiest waves and improved substantially throughout the trip.

We have stayed in the nicest house during our stay here, owned by one of the best primary teachers and friendly well known locals on the North Shore- Rex Dubiel, the house sits on the Beach at Rocky Point giving us the best access to the beach and a great tanning deck on the roof...vital!
