The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s hugely successful year in drama has been recognised with multiple Golden Globe awards, with shows including A Very English Scandal, Bodyguard and Killing Eve taking home the trophies.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ opens public consultation around improvements to programme availability

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ opened a public consultation on its plans to reinvent Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ iPlayer - making it a destination in its own right, with box sets, live programming and archive titles that champion quality UK content and offer great programmes for longer.

Radio

The countdown is on for the launch of The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Radio 2 on Monday 14 January and Tina Daheley has been announced as the programme's newsreader.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Audio Drama Awards has confirmed the 2019 finalists, with the winners being announced at a ceremony in the Radio Theatre at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Broadcasting House, London on the evening of Sunday 3 February 2019.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 1Xtra has named fifteen exciting acts from the world of black music on the station’s Hot For 2019 list. The list, compiled annually by 1Xtra DJs and staff, predicts which artists are set for success over the next twelve months.

South London rapper, Octavian, has been crowned the winner of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music’s Sound Of 2019.

Drama

Filmed on the French-Caribbean island of Guadeloupe, the eighth series of the award-winning drama, Death in Paradise, will continue to keep audiences guessing with intriguing mysteries, cunning plot twists and a star-studded array of guest cast.

Entertainment

Stacey Dooley has been announced as the host of Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, the brand new make-up competition coming to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three this year along with Val Garland and Dominic Skinner.

World Service

As Nigeria prepares to hold elections on February 16, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Africa will be offering comprehensive coverage for our local and international audiences across radio, TV, online and social media.
