Review of Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 7
Summary
The Trust published its service review of Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 7 on 8 February 2012.
The review, launched in June 2010, had three broad aims: first to assess how well Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 7 are performing against commitments set out in these licences, second to consider the stations' future direction and third to determine whether amendments to the licences are required. We developed our findings using a range of methods, including a public consultation over the summer 2010 which received 16,795 responses from licence fee payers. Our review has found that these services are performing very well overall, and that they are high quality and offer truly distinctive public service broadcasting. Their challenge is to gradually extend their core appeal without jeopardizing their distinctiveness.
