There’s a quiet, lonesome grandeur that sets his music apart, a troubadour in direct lineage to Meic Stevens’ more reflective moments, Nick Drake at his most unadorned, and the solo recordings of Richard James.

Hailing from Cardiff, via Carmarthen and London, and performing in both his native Welsh and English, Aled draws his influences from a childhood spent in rural Wales and his experience of love and life in the capital.

Aled released his debut EP 'Sêr yn Disgyn' in 2013 to critical acclaim. Recorded at Seindon Studios in Cardiff and produced by Osian Gwynedd (Sibrydion), 'Sêr yn Disgyn' features a number of Wales’ finest musicians, including The Gentle Good’s Gareth Bonello, Greta Isaac (The People The Poet), Dan Lawrence (Olion Byw) and mixed by Cian Ciarán (Super Furry Animals).

Keen on developing and honing his skills as a performer, Aled spent most of 2014 concentrating on playing live. This included performances at FOCUS Wales, Pili Pala Fest, Big Cwtch, Tafwyl, the National Eisteddfod, The Hay Festival and Green Man Festival.

Aled is currently working on new material due for release in 2015.
