Shiva Feshareki

Grand final

Shiva Feshareki is a British-Iranian experimental composer, turntablist and artist. Her site-specific, state-of-the-art 360° ambisonic shows have appeared at major arts festivals over the past several years. Recent performances include Casa Del Lago, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms, Hyperreality Festival of Club Culture, Mutek, Sonar, Maerzmusik and Tate Modern.

Her signature turntable performances fuse together sonic palettes using hyperphysical electronic manipulations and sampling techniques. Cuts from drum and bass, garage, gabber, deep minimalism and her own orchestral works are morphed and reshaped into new forms of live electronic sound that are as dynamic as they are delicate.

Shiva is a recipient of the Ivor Novello Award for Innovation, The Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Composer’s Award. She has been commissioned and performed with some of the world’s foremost contemporary orchestras including Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, Ensemble Modern and Aarhus Symphony Orchestra.

Most recently Shiva has collaborated with Fraser T Smith on his debut album ‘12 Questions’, feat. Arlo Parks, Kojey Radical, Idris Elba, Mikky Ekko, Stormzy and more. Shiva is currently featured at the Design Museum’s Electronic Music Exhibition.
