Mio was born in Japan and moved to London when she was three years old. She started playing the violin at the age of four and is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music with Professor Philippe Honoré. Mio has won prizes at several local festivals and international competitions, including the Grumiaux Competition in Brussels and Premio Francesco Geminiani in Verona.
