William comes from Sheffield and started playing the tenor horn when he was nine, moving to tuba aged twelve but staying with the same teacher, Pat Phillips. William plays with his school brass band and orchestra, Stannington Brass Band and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. Away from music he enjoys long-distance running; William has represented South Yorkshire in the English Schools’ Cross Country Championships and is currently receiving sponsorship from Accelerate UK and SCOTT sports.
