Julian comes from St Albans, where he was a chorister in the Cathedral Choir. His principal instrument is the piano; he also plays the violin, sings and composes. He is a member of Aldeburgh Young Musicians, and plays chamber music with Pro Corda and MusicWorks. He is supported by Awards for Young Musicians. Away from music Julian enjoys acting, geology, and good food.
