Zoë began playing the trumpet at the age of seven, studying with Michel Sedgwick before joining the Junior Academy of the Royal Academy of Music where she is taught by David Price. She spent a year with the newly formed Britten Sinfonia Academy and plays principal trumpet with Cambridge based brass dectet Junior Prime Brass. When time allows Zoë plays cornet with Waterbeach Brass Band and is often asked to play with orchestras in and around Cambridge. She is principal trumpet with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and will be studying at the Royal Academy of Music from September.
