Lynn Higgins was Alex’s wife during the first half of the 1980s sharing his greatest triumph in the 1982 World Championships, as well as painfully witnessing his most awful lows as Alex’s domestic life disintegrated.

A smart and confident young woman, Lynn fell for Alex despite caring little for snooker or the trappings of fame. She became the rock on which Alex built his success in the early days of their marriage – along with her daughter Lauren, idolized by her father.

But as Alex turned this domestic happiness into a self-destructive nightmare Lynn fought to save the man she loved but ultimately realized that nothing could tame the Hurricane.
