The leader of the junkband 'Echo City' gives a demonstration of a junk instrument made from gas pipes - the bat phone. Giles Perring plays the bat phone and shows how the pipes are tuned to different notes by cutting to size. A short extract from 'Catch a Horse' is used to demonstrate performance in context with other junk instruments.
