Stornoway black pudding - campaigning for EU protection
Stornoway black pudding is a world-renowned delicacy but it is under threat from imitators. Protection could come from a product geographic indicator from the European Union, which would mean that only puddings made on the Isle of Lewis could use the 'Stornoway' name. To be given this status, the butchers of Stornoway need to show the pudding is truly unique to the island.
