Sugar's bond with Sophie grows ever stronger but Sugar begins to fear she is pregnant, as Lucinda Coxon's ambitious and bold four-part adaptation of The Crimson Petal And The White by Michel Faber, directed by Marc Munden, concludes.

Sugar miscarries her baby but not before Dr Curfew notices her condition, telling William that she is pregnant. In a fury, William dismisses her and hires another governess for Sophie. The team of NHS midwives continue to take pregnant women who binge drink, chain smoke and over eat and help them get back into shape before they give birth.

In this third episode, the dedicated midwives meet three new "misbehaving mums". At 23 and 19, Amy and Sarah are both smoking their way through their pregnancies despite the impact it is having on their unborn children, while three-months-pregnant Sophie is consuming a diet of junk food, disregarding the affect it is having on both her baby and herself.

The specialist midwives use their extensive experience and cutting-edge technology to help these young mums transform their bad habits and reverse the dangers currently posed to their babies' lives.

Misbehaving Mums To Be is part of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Three's Bringing Up Britain Season, on TV and online.

HISTORY OF THE HOME
If Walls Could Talk – The Bedroom Ep 3/4

Wednesday 27 April
9.00-10.00pm Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ FOUR

Dr Lucy Worsley, Chief Curator of the Historic Royal Palaces, uncovers the history of the bedroom as she continues her exploration of the British home. It's a room which people now think of as one of the most private in the house and yet it started for most as a noisy, busy communal space.

From spending the night in a Tudor farmhouse and re-creating a bedtime "bundling" courtship ritual, to being publicly dressed as Queen Caroline in Hampton Court and experiencing the glamour of the Thirties boudoir, Lucy discovers that birth, marriage and death have all played a big part in the story of the bedroom.

Examining ever-shifting attitudes to privacy, class, cleanliness and technology this revealing series could change the way people look at their homes for ever.
