Bafta award-winning writer Dominic Savage returns to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two with a new two-part drama, Dive. Savage captures the essence of teenage life in the 21st Century with his observation of a young couple finding love for the first time, while coping with the high and lows of growing up in the UK.

Leading the cast is newcomer Aisling Loftus as Lindsey and Jack O'Connell (Skins) as Robert. In the first episode, Lindsey's passion and dedication for diving is rewarded when she is selected to represent Team GB at the 2012 Olympics. But her budding romance with Robert is put to the test when she discovers she is pregnant with his baby.

The concluding episode focuses on the repercussions that Lindsey's pregnancy has for Robert, who must decide whether to take on the responsibilities of teenage fatherhood or retain the popular status he enjoys with his friends. The return of his beloved brother from Iraq brings home the importance of the choices he must make about growing up.

The supporting cast is led by Gina McKee (In The Loop, Fiona's Story) with Joseph Mawle (The Passion); Ewen Bremner (Day Of The Triffids); Eddie Marsan (Little Dorrit); Michael Socha (Casualty) and Katie Dickie.

They may be cops, but Jack and Kate suffer the same frustrations, pre-occupations and insecurities as the rest of us.

Always on the move or in their unofficial office – the local cafe opposite the police station where the coffee and gossip are better – their cases say something about modern life in a fresh and entertaining way.

The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister

The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, a brand new, bold and passionate drama for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two, stars Maxine Peake (Criminal Justice, Little Dorrit) as the Yorkshire landowner, industrialist, traveller and diarist.

Anne Lister, 1791–1840, was a lesbian who, despite needing to keep her orientation secret from society at large, defied the conventions of her times by living with her female lover.

Anne kept a detailed account of her life, loves and emotions in a fascinating and painfully honest four million word journal. A sizeable portion of the journal was written in code and the recent deciphering of these diaries provides an astonishing insight into the life of the woman who has been called Britain’s first modern lesbian.

This one-off 90-minute drama features a stellar cast, including Anna Madeley (Crooked House, Sense And Sensibility), Susan Lynch (Elizabeth – The Golden Age, The Scouting Book For Boys), Christine Bottomley (Land Girls, Hope Springs), Gemma Jones (Spooks, Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince), Dean Lennox Kelly (Shameless, Robin Hood) and Tina O'Brien (Coronation Street).

An accompanying documentary presented by comedy writer and presenter Sue Perkins tells the story of Anne Lister and the decoding of her diaries.
