Robina Hooper, 22, job trainer at Mencap from Shrewsbury
Robina is a lively young woman who knows her own mind. Describing herself as single and desperate, she's had enough of the Shrewsbury dating scene and is keen to get away.

She also says she's prone to hissy fits and anything can set one off – from someone asking her to do the washing up, to people speaking to her in a tone she finds annoying. Her loud voice gets her in trouble as do her indiscrete comments and even her mum tells her to quieten down.

She describes herself as having both socialist and right wing views, which is maybe because she likes to play devil's advocate. She admits she has led a charmed life and no one has ever really said no to her so she's used to getting her own way.

Robina is a no nonsense woman who likes to have fun and wants to get in there and shake the other castaways up, stop them dithering and kick them into action.

- Known as Beanie to friends and family, Robina currently works as a job trainer for Mencap. Although she likes her job she says she lives for the weekend.
- She describes herself as being well-known for doing random and impulsive things.
- She says she is most awake in the evenings and totally vile in the mornings. She also says she is like a rollercoaster when she's hungry, going from angry to emotional to angry again.
- Robina says that politics are really important to her and although she says she's not into "the whole labour thing," she does think Tony Blair is "kind of cute" after seeing him as Torso of the Week in a weekly celeb magazine.
- She says she drinks far too much and her humour gets pretty raunchy when she's been drinking.
- She says although people may find it a bit weird she loves cleaning, cooking and washing-up.
- Her ambitions are to meet someone, fall in love, travel the world then get married and have lots of babies.
- Robina says she has been spoilt all her life, she has been given everything by her parents, had any boyfriend she wants and no one has ever really said no to her.
- Once did a ten-mile charity walk and got a bit drunk. She then tried to get the attention of passing drivers by bending over and flashing her knickers when she fell on her backside.
- She feels very strongly about general personal hygiene.

- Thinks people may not like her on the island because she is flirty, she burps and farts loudly and they may think she will steal their rank.

Robina on the other castaways: Robina is a fan of Jonathan, she thinks "he is funny and I can see myself getting along well with him." She finds Joe irritating and says he should stop moaning about catching fish and just catch them. Robina thinks that she thinks she may clash with Clare as she finds it annoying "when Clare says 'yeah, yeah' all of the time." In general, she feels that the others just don't do enough. She says if she was there there'd be less talking about things and more doing.

Reason for applying: Robina thinks the experience may help her grow up and learn to look after herself. She would also like to calm down her fiery temper.
