I've heard that Percy is going to die eventually?
Do you think that's true? I was also wondering if Percy will ever
become the Minister of Magic?
CR: I don't think
Percy will die. Personally I think he will redeem himself. I don't
know about Minuster of Magic.
Why isn't Percy's part bigger in the films
as he is in the books? I think Percy is really hot!
CR: Boiling in fact!
lol - I don't think Percy's part needs to be bigger in the films.
He's only a minor character in the scheme of things.
Who or what would a boggart turn into if you saw
it?
It would probably turn into a spider. Maybe that's
a Weasley family trait! But I'm scared of them too.
What is your favourite all time favourite summer
tune?
CR: My favourite
summer tune would have to be Summertime from Porgy and Bess by Gershwin
- good chill out stuff and I can play it on the violin!
What were the sweets like in Honeydukes? Were
they real? Did people try and get them between takes?
CR: I didn't actually
go into Honeydukes, but I did see the sweets and I had some. I'm
sure some of them were bottled up for a very long time!
If you could make up a spell what would it
be and what would it do?
Chris as Percy Weasley with his Hogwarts school mates.
Credit: Murray Close |
CR: It would be Beddus
Makus - it would make my bed for me! I'm lazy!
In the films Percy sounds quite posh, are you
or do the directors tell you to talk like that?
CR: I did put on
an accent for Percy, but my natural voice is quite well spoken.
If you were an Animagus what animal would you
want to be able to turn into?
CR: I would turn
into a monkey.
Were there any deleted scenes that you thought
should have stayed in the movie?
CR: I think the bit
in the book where Sirius breaks into the Gryffindor dormitory. It
was filmed but sadly didn't make it in and was followed by a scene
in the common room where we're all half asleep in pyjamas.
Have any one ever started laughing in the middle
of a take?
CR: More than once,
especially when you're working with Julie Walters and Mark Williams.
There's barely a dry eye in the house.
If there was one thing you could change about
your Harry Potter career what would it be?
CR: I wouldn't! It's
been an incredible four years and I wouldn't change any of it!
Do you think the new Dumbledore fits the part?
CR: I think for me, Michael Gambon plays
Dumbledore how I imagine him from the books.
There's a reference in Philosopher's Stone about
Dumbledore enjoying ten pin bowling and chamber music.
I think Gambon portrays this in more quirky way than Richard Harris
did.
You've met JK Rowling, what type of person
is she?
CR: JK Rowling is lovely, but very, very
secretive! Although she did give me a hint to what happens to Percy!
Which books and movies do you like better...
Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings? They are always the 2 rivals!
CR: I hated Lord of the Rings! I read the
first LOTR when I was 12 and I really didn't get on with it at all!
Loved the films though but that might be because they were filmed
in New Zealand which is where I was born.
What's it like going to a premiere?
CR: Possibly the most terrifying experience
of your life! To get out of the car in front of 6000 screaming teenagers
is incredibly daunting, but it works wonders on the ego.
What would you like to be in the Ministry of
Magic if it really exist?
CR: Minister in charge of the floo network
should be interesting!
Has acting changed you?
CR: I think it's made me more confident
as a person. I'm now running my own theatre company and if I hadn't
had the experience on Harry Potter I don't think I'd have the guts
to set it all up.
How long have u been a Harry Potter fan?
CR: Since the release of the third book,
whenever that was. My mum came home with it from school one day
and I was hooked.
What is your favourite scene in the POA?
CR: My favourite scene is probably the
first divination lesson, I think Emma Thompson is a genius! She
made me laugh.
Do you think that Ian McKellen or Christopher
Lee would have been a better Dumbledore?
CR: Ian McKellen would have been interesting,
but after playing Gandalf in LOTR I don't think he would have considered
it.
Who would you like as a director for Order of
the Phoenix if it gets done? What about Tim Burton?
CR: I think Tim Burton would be fantastic,
although Terry Gilliam was at the premiere for POA and I'm wondering
if that has anything to do with Order of the Phoenix. It would be
cool if he did it as I'm a big Monty Python fan!
If you could play any position on a Quidditch
team what would you play?
CR: Substitute! I'm not one for sport :)
Chris grabs the keyboard of power. Jamie from Mugglenet watches
on amused! |
Do you think Dumbledor would make a good film
director?
CR: I suppose he would! I think that that
is now classed as the most bizarre question I've ever been asked!
If you could teach a class at Hogwarts what
would you want to teach?
CR: I would probably teach transfiguration.
It looks like it could be good fun!
Do you think that it will be Voldemort or Harry
who dies after the prophecy?
CR: I think I agree with Dan in that Harry
will die, but don't hold me to that!
Who is the biggest celeb you have met?
CR: I've been fortunate to meet lots of
very famous people, but the biggest would have to be Roger Taylor,
the drummer from Queen. Although I did meet Jerry Springer, he was
cool.
Do you like the Harry Potter books more for
the story or for the style?
CR: I think JK's style of writing is one
that makes you want to keep going, but the story she writes are
very engaging and you can empathise with the characters.
Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Host: Ok, we've got time for just one
more question before they turn the lights out on us here at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ
Norfolk! We're sorry if we didn't get to your question. There were
hundreds and hundreds of them and we tried our best to answer as
many as we could. Here's the last question.
How would you like the story to end?
CR: That's a really good question. I think
good will conquer evil but I think it might be a pretty hard battle.
