The tremor follows a stronger quake last month |

Over
the past weeks Manchester has been rocked by more and more earthquakes.
Many people have e-mailed us with their thoughts and experiences.
Here's a selection. |

The
biggest quake came at 11.42 on 21 October, and measured 3.9 on the
Richter scale. Since then there have been dozens of smaller tremors
- and it seems that Mancunians are getting used to the ground moving
beneath their feet.

I wonder what has made them happen all of a sudden in such a short
space of time. I've felt 3 of them & they really make you jump. The
one in the middle of the night was the worst because everything starts
rattleing & moving & because you're only half awake, when morning
comes round you're unsure if you dreamt the whole thing until you
hear the news! They're not strong enough to be scary, but they are
unnerving.

I woke up in the night and my t.v was shaking i thought i was seeing
things when i woke up in the morning i thought i had dreamt it then
i heard it on the radio and i knew i wasnt going daft.

I felt one of the earthquakes in the middle of the night. It woke
me up and didn't have a clue what was going on, everything in my room
started shaking. I jumped out of my room and waited for it to stop.
I'd never experienced anything like it in my life!

I lived in manchester nearly all my life, and im there pretty much
every fortnite, but did anyone think that these quakes might be some
kinda funky marketing ploy by man city?, i mean new stadium comes
along and bugger me its on a fault like, sounds fishy to mee!

we didnt really feel the quake here in warrington but did notice the
shake. i feel that the one that we have over the full uk not long
before the one in manchester was a lot stonger and we had more to
talk about. it seems that people are making a mountain out of a mole
hill in the manchester quake case! If the quake had made at least
some sort of damage or had been nearly as strong as the larger one
then i think that there would have been something to talk about.

I was one of the scared individuals in a supermarket in Beswick, during
the lunchtime tremor, the bottles, glass and everything fell off all
around me. I have not been that scared since the Sept 11 incident.

AND SO IT GOES ON & ON!! I PERSONALLY HAVEN'T FELT THE LAST FIFTEEN
OR SO, BUT THE EXPRESSIONS ON THE FACES OF MY PETS TELL ME WHAT'S
BEEN HAPPENING, ESPECIALLY MY BIRDS, WHO'VE TENDED TO FLUTTER AROUND
SCATTERING SEED & FEATHERS EVERYWHERE, EVEN WITH THE LESS INTENSE
ONES, BUT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT HAPPENS OVERNIGHT. IN FACT WHEN I UNCOVER
THEM THEY'RE STILL "LOOKING OVER THEIR SHOULDERS" AND AT THE BASE
OF THEIR CAGES TO TRY & SEE WHAT HAS SHAKEN THEM!! IF THE SPECIALIST
SEISMOGRAPHS SHOULD EVER BREAK DOWN, YOU'RE WELCOME TO INSTALL CCTV
TO STUDY MY PETS REACTION INSTEAD..!!

It lasts for quiet few moments but it makes you feel how weak we are
as a human compartively to God strenght.
