Tassy Swallow - last minute training

Paradise Hawaiian Style

Our young surf blogger Tassy Swallow has already travelled throughout Europe and the UK taking part in competitions. Now she's preparing to head to a surfer's paradise...Hawaii. Read Tassy's latest blog...

Monday 20 October 2008

With only two days to go, the month's training in Hawaii seems closer than ever.

I think all of us are have already started packing and fittingΜύin the remaining training possible before we have to start stretching in preparation for the 24 hour plane journey.

On Tuesday evening I travel up to Newquay to George's house, where Josh Piper, George Picking and I are all staying before we head up to Bristol airport at 1.30 am on Wednesday morning.

I am only taking out one board with me, but I am buying two more out there from local Hawaiian shapers who are some of the best in the world, a great experience!

Cornwall's Tassy Swallow

I need a bag big enough for a month's worth of clothes, which might be tricky for me.

I did have one before, but I took it to Australia in July and Joel made me promise never to take it on any trips ever again, slightly gutted but I can see where he is coming from (it is sort of the size of a large Go Kart!)

Just think…In a few hours, we will be in Hawaii.

More from Tassy when she reaches the US state.
