Was going to make a fruitcake again but last year I ended up bringing most of it home - however I did share it out in the middle of St Pancras Station before catching the train homeward bound.

Ah the memories!!! My CIN Trip starts on Thursday after work when I go to stay with my friend for the night before coming to R2!!!!

I am loving the show and I am in total awe of the amount of money people are able to pledge for these great events! One day, maybe I will be able to splash the cash……..

Sorry for my absence I really must get a grip of my time management, I always seem to be so busy, busy, busy!

I am looking forward also to the CiN event on Friday and sporting our brand new washed and ironed tee-shirts! x-x-x I will be in London late on Thursday just in time for a pint and bed I think. ;-)

Morning all

I am more excited then a kitten with a ball of wool and a wind up mouse and something sparkely, I really cannot wait until Friday.

I am using my last days holiday to do this, so Mr bp's graduation is going to be 'working from home with quick break to see him get his certificate' but it will be well worth it. Mine starts Thursday night as we have tickets to see Harry Hills TV Burp - wrock on (sorry Bingo).

I have cut up my wedding cake to bring with me (didn't hurt as much as I thought it might) so it will be available on Friday - all donations to CiN welcome.

Lots of work to do now until Thurs so best go - have texted for the D&D thing, not sure how many more times I can, will need to talk to the man at home

Hi Chris: well, what challenge for me - I don't text! However, I will be getting lessons this evening from my lovely daughter, and after that I'll be texting several times! Chris, it's just great that everyone is in with a chance, and lots of money being raised for our beloved CiN!

I'm not sure - I'm waiting to find out from Rips as he has to catch it from Aylesbury vale park - hence taking a mainline but I can see how easy the met line is for you, especially now they go straight though and you don't have to change at C&L

Afternoon lovelies

Thank you everyone for the good wishes. Scared, terrified and very excited all at the same time. Got a few ideas to get rolling on with, and at least I am now free and able to attend networking events and the suchlike. Watch this space!

Nic and I spent a very pleasant lunchtime at his "great auntie's" 100th birthday party (I think we're ascertained that they are actually 2nd cousins). What a lady! She's now shorter than Nics 9 year old son (who sadly couldn't come with us as he was at school). It was lovely to watch her holding court, catching up with family and friends and all of her friends from the Monday Club! And there was cake! Can't be bad for a Monday ....! When we left, she said to me "I'm getting a bit tired now, but I'm not going to give in" and then a chap from the local newspaper turned up to take her photo! Fantastic!

Bit of a relaxy afternoon and evening ahead for me and 'imself - socialising is jsut draining, dahlinks!

My text is sent and I'm still awed at the amount of money raised this morning!

The seal sanctuary was fab on Saturday, ickle baby seals being properly looked after; absolutely massive sea lions that will weigh about 52 stone when fully grown (they don't half shift tho!); otters and my favourite....Penguins!

The boy was in heaven with all the animals and was very keen to show of his knowledge to the girlie guide we got showing us round when it was feeding time! He did however refuse to wear a coat so was rolling his arms up in his t-shirt most of the time, showing his belly off!!

All is quiet here tonight, boy has gone to bed without complaint and with t'other still on his 'low tech' month I don't think the TV will be going on tonight......

A most interesting question about a most interesting broadcaster who most interestingly is always on 'olidee when it's CIN week!!!!!!!
A don't 'old it against Wrightie, not at all, as firstly 'e is one of my favourite DJ's/ broadcaster if not me favourite!!!!! (no offence ter CLP) and (no offence Wrightie for me noticing yer off/ pointing this out).
Secondly a fully understand this is were people misunderstand the genius that is Wrightie.... A met 'im and for sure 'e is the nicest person from the world of showbizz ave ever met!!!!!!! (No offence CLP/ No offence The Mayo/ No Offence Ken Bruce/ No offence Jezza Vine!!!)
A very genuine, nice bloke but who a think is shy and doesn't like 'is photo being taken... 'ence what with people crawling over the beeb in the CIN week... AND taking photos 'e prefers ter keep a low profile!!!!!!!!!!
A fully understand what it's like ter be misunderstood... As a meself 'ave been accused of as been alooof and arrogant.... Simply because a tend not ter chat too much ter people/ the crowd at work.... When the simple reason that a don't chat with the crowd at work much is am shy AND me mind is in constant turmoil!!!!!!! Long time no post from the busy bee I seem to pass for most of the time, but I had to share with you that I've just spent some of the evening with Pudsey.

Kinda hope I don't appear on the tellybox, but we did have fun. Sezza is most likely to understand when I say some of the band I ring with are attempting a sponsored quarter of Pudsey on Thursday, so Pudsey himself got invited along to the tower to have a go tonight. He didn't do tooooo badly... though his head is a little prone to getting in the way and his paws don't grip awfully well ;)

Well the w/end was glorious weather wise and managed to get out for awee while,yesterday was aight drab old day and quite miseable,and then tday which is a work day the sun is againhigh in the sky,and blue sky to boot.

Mr BP came home unexpectedly at 4am, woke me me accidently and I haven't slept since - needless to say I am shattered already and really don't want Mr bp man flu - although he wanted a bit more sympathy then I gave him - poor mr bp - now don't give it to me!

Second day off work this week, got best friend staying and she is on a mission to "sort my house out" - not sure GD is as happy with "the plans" - will try and "mediate and modify" the plans to make the moves of furniture acceptable to all! I also fear a trip to a certain swedish store on the cards too - Rips - want some meatballs!!!!

Right I think a strong coffee is in order! See some of you in a couple of days!

Ooooh, it must be getting very exciting for all of you who are CiN bound!

How I would have loved to bid for the golf package this morning. Can't play golf of course, but I would love to walk round that Course with those boys! And dinner with Mr&Mrs Parky and Mr&Mrs Evans - it can't get better than that! Well done to the successful bidders.

Gail: your post is very powerful. I think we do tend to forget that old people used to be young people. I remember my lovely Mum saying to me: "I know I am in my 70's, but in my heart I am still only 17". How true that really is.

Debs: best of luck at the Swedish store - you may need a Penguin or two when you get home!

I used to give blood until I was told to not come back until after I had children as my veins might be better then - that kind off put me off to be honest.
I am a registered organ doner as I feel they are no use to me, not sure about mr bp as he feels differemtly but at the end of the day you would do want was that persons wishes, no matter how you felt.

Bagpuss - I might bring a plain sponge or something then to balance it out a bit lol.

Dozymac - I was due to give my 11th blood donation two weeks ago but I was sick so I couldn't donate :( I'm on the organ donor register and the bone marrow donation register. I figure if I've got some spare why not put it to good use.

I decided when I was about 16 that I was going to sign up for the relevant bits - I've even taken a friend and my hubby to give blood. My friend had to stop as she would get really faint after but my hubby still does when he can.

I plan to live till I'm like 90 but if it doesn't work out and I pop off early then I want my organs to save people :)

Does that make it a bit better?

I've been a blood donor for a long time, although with various house moves it's not always been possible to go as often as I'd have liked. I used to accompany my mum when she donated so I never had any worries or fears about doing it myself, and I've usually managed to enlist someone new to donate wherever I've worked !! Having said that, I cannot persuade 'im indoors to go with me ... if only he'd just admit that he's scared of needles - I'd understand! Anyway, I've got my silver badge and am very proud.

I'm also on the organ donor list - I figure that if anyone can make use of any of this old carcass once I'm gone, they're very welcome to it!!!!!

Can't wait for Friday. The t-shirt is washed and will be ironed tomorrow - such a nice smell now compared to the ink! Now, where did I put my Pudsey ears ... I've moved house since last year and it's anyone's guess as to where they've gone!

love the show and fully support children in need and the ways money is being raised, but I can't help feeling that, as in society, the rich even benefit from this. Sure these auctions raise shed loads of cash but the winner recieves something "money can't buy" while the rest of us just GIVE.

Watched the Children in need concert last night at the MEN Arena in Manchester - Epic !
