Youth involvement with local councils
Description
More and more local councils are consulting young people about what they would like to see happening in their area. Highland Youth Voice is shown as a case study.
Classroom Ideas
Students could work in groups to list the ways that young people can become involved in politics and decision-making. Also, students could discuss youth issues that their local council could help with. These issues could be presented to or discussed with local council representatives.
