Carol Adams

Aberdare

Carol moved to Wales from the Bahamas in 2006 and now makes Aberdare her home.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from  the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Glamorgan in Community Regeneration.  She was also awarded the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences prize for Excellence in the Post Graduate Dissertation in the Field of Social Policy. 

Her past roles include managerial roles at the Baha’i World Centre in Haifa Israel, Founding Director of the Bahamas International Film Festival, and Appointee for the Welsh Government Financial Inclusion Steering Group as well as senior management roles within UK and Welsh charities.    She currently holds a senior appointment with Citizen’s Advice UK.

Born in New York Carol has lived in France, Israel, and the Bahamas and has travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, and French West Africa.  She speaks French, Spanish and some Hebrew. 

Carol is a keen reader, knitter, and amateur cook.
