Aideen McGinley
Aideen has spent her career in local and central Government in Northern Ireland. She is a former Chief Executive of Fermanagh District Council, and Permanent Secretary at the Department for Employment and Learning and at the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure in Northern Ireland, where she was responsible for the arts, sport, museums, libraries and the creative industries. From 2009 to 2012, she was Chief Executive of Ilex, the urban regeneration company for Derry- Londonderry, during which time she worked on the city's successful bid for "UK City of Culture 2013".
Aideen has extensive experience in the voluntary and community sectors and was a founding member of the UK National Lotteries Charities Board. She is a former chair of the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Northern Ireland Appeals Advisory Committee. She was awarded an OBE in 2000 for services to local government and the community.
Aideen is married with three children and four grandchildren and lives in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.
