Carole King, Audience Council member, West
Carole King is a freelance consultant, based in Bath with experience in transport and land-use planning. She has worked for the Department for Transport and the Strategic Rail Authority, and local authorities in London, the Midlands and South West.
She has worked with local stakeholders and community groups with regard to local planning issues, developing a keen understanding of the diverse needs of different communities, and the need to represent their views in consultation documents.
Carole has been Vice Chair and committee member of a local residents association, and is currently Chair of a local book group. She describes her viewing and listening as eclectic, she enjoys Radio 4, 6 Music and tunes in to Local Radio when on the move. She regularly downloads podcasts; and on TV her tastes range from “Soaps to Wolf Hall”.
