Alvin Kofi - Audience Council England member, North West

Alvin is the Chair of the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Office Disability Support Network (HODS) responsible for overseeing the network at a strategic level and representing members at a national level. He also has an input into policy and practice to ensure that the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Office meets its legal obligations and ensures the HODS business plan and objectives complement the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Office diversity strategy.

He is a keen listener to Radio 4 and is supportive of his local radio station – Radio Merseyside - which is a lifeline to many people in the community. He is passionate about the theatre and is an active supporter of his local spinal unit.

Alvin lives in a semi-rural community between Liverpool and Southport, and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list 2008 for public service for disabled people.
