Abridged in 10 episodes and read by John Sessions with Julian Rhind-Tutt as Dr Jekyll and David Shaw-Parker as Dr Lanyon. Consultant: Alison Powell.

This adaptation of 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' uses the original text and is intended for KS3 and KS4 students studying it as a GCSE set text. Each video episode features annotated scrolling text or you can choose to listen to the audio-only version if preferred.

The abridgement includes approximately half of the original text. Transcripts of each episode are available below and on the individual webpages.

Please note: the text includes brief descriptions of violence against a child (Chapter 1, repeated in Chapter 2) and murder (Chapter 4).
