When is National Careers Week 2025?
National Careers Week 2025 takes place from 3-8 March and aims to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar.

Bitesize Careers is an excellent new resource for teachers, careers leaders and students alike.

Careers content is very inspirational. The video clips use young people, just like the people we work with.
Sue Taylor:
On watching the videos, I was pleased to see that there were lots of different accents, faces, ages and so, students could find something that they could really identify with. I liked the fact it had lots of practical shots of people doing real work, because I think school students sometimes don't really know what the workplace looks like.

The resource offers real young people embracing opportunities and using their skills and competencies that they have in order to gain.

There are over 200 different features. Many of these are video and some are written. These case studies cover a whole vast range of different sectors.

It provides information on skills for work, for work experience and many different avenues in how young people have actually gained work.

It's great to see real people talking about what they've achieved and the journey that they've taken to achieve it.

In a large inner city school like ours, we try and encourage students of all abilities to look at the whole range of options available to them. The videos show that students can go the apprenticeship route, they can go to college, they can continue to sixth form and then perhaps onto university.
Neil Willis:
One of the important things about the case studies is that they really highlight the wide range of pathways and progression routes into different job roles.
Cherakee Bradley:
We're all striving to achieve the eight Gatsby Benchmarks and understand how important this is. This helps us to achieve Benchmark Four, which is careers in the curriculum and also Benchmark Two, with a great deal of labour market information available to us.
