The “Careers in…” collection introduces students to different job sectors (such as healthcare & frontline services). You can expect:

  • Hundreds of job profiles relating to specific sectors
  • Introductory films for different sectors, using Labour Market Information (LMI) to answer questions like: "how many people work in the sector?"

Activity suggestion:

  • Head to the introductory LMI film for a sector, like the introduction to the science sector film. These can be found at the top of most sector pages
  • Use the questions above the film as prompts, asking students to jot down their predictions. Watch the film as a class and then discuss – were students' guesses on track, or did they get a few surprises?
