The harsh reality of this fantastic win - a brilliant, morale-boosting win - is that Kevin is going to wake up tomorrow morning and he's got one point from five games in the league. He's back to the grind of your bread-and-butter stuff.
These are fantastic nights; these are glorious nights when you can build something. But the bottom line is, the league table. He has to look at that and realise, "is the way we played against Fulham going to work for us on Saturday in the hard world of League Two?"
"Do we have to adapt to a different style or formation, or can we put a full press on, the way we've played tonight?"
A Premier League team expect you to put a full press on and they expect to pass it through you. That's exactly what happened to Cambridge and allowed Southampton to get a head of steam with better players. They've been beaten 3-0.
Kevin has to go back to the grind and try to get his first win as a league manager.

He needed a reaction, he needed players gaining something more from a victory. It was evident that Villa were trying to do something in this competition to change their league form around.
Fulham have made that great start and should have had more points on the board, but for Mitrovic missing that penalty against Wolves. Their start has been very positive.
FT: Rotherham United 0-1 Morecambe
A superb result for The Shrimps, who win again at Rotherham in this competition - albeit in slightly less dramatic fashion than they did in their 5-4 triumph after extra time in 2016.

This was Crystal Palace's first EFL Cup win... and their first goal since 2018.
They lost to Middlesbrough, Colchester*, Bournemouth* and Watford without scoring in their last four games in the tournament.

Oxford 0-2 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone made his debut for the club today - and kept a clean sheet.
The 29-year-old England international joined on a free transfer after leaving West Brom this summer.

I just love Kevin Betsy's whole mix. This is a guy who won promotion at all sorts of levels as a player. When you come out of an academy set-up, there's always going to be that risk.
It will take a little bit of time and he hasn't had a good start. This will give him a heck of a boost and a little bit of extra time to get things as he wants.

Eighty-four places between the two sides - it's almost phenomenal. Without a doubt, it's the shock of the night.
I don't think anyone in their right mind would have said it was going to be Crawley, considering the start they've had in the league. Unbelievable. Cup upsets? Something's got to happen, hasn't it?

"What we have done tonight was phenomenal. We have one point in the league but the performances don't reflect the results we've had. We fully believe in the players we have it is a matter of gelling. Small steps and we will get to where we want to get to.
"We had a plan of how we wanted to play today and that will be our blueprint going forward.
"This club will go from strength-to-strength."
Barrow 2-2 Lincoln City (1-3 on penalties); Gillingham 0-0 Exeter City (6-5 on penalties)
There's no place in the third round for Barrow who have been knocked out on penalties 3-1 to Lincoln City, with the match ending 2-2 after 90 minutes.
It had looked to be going Barrow's way when they took a late lead after 87 minutes, but Jordon Garrick scored a 93rd minute equaliser to send the match to spot kicks.
Gillingham have also progressed ahead of Exeter City thanks to a 6-5 penalties win in sudden death, with the match itself ending goalless.

"Moments when we could make a killer pass or take control of the game we were a little loose. It was a good test for us but in terms of our performance, I am not going to say it is amazing, but I've played in many of these types of games and I have been beaten. I know they are not easy."

Norwich 2-2 Bournemouth (Bournemouth win 5-3 on pens)
Bournemouth are through. They were seconds away from going out against Norwich, but substitute Brooklyn Genesini scored in the third minute of injury time to force a penalty shootout.
Todd Cantwell of Norwich was the only one to miss and Ryan Christie converted the final penalty to send the Cherries through.
Adam Idah scores a penalty for Norwich, but Ryan Christie can win it for Bournemouth...
Stockport 0-2 Leicester
James Maddison's spot kick is then saved but Daniel Iversen produces the heroics again as he saves Scott Quigley's effort.
Harvey Barnes then converts to make it 2-0.
Norwich 2-2 Bournemouth
Bournemouth are still leading the shootout, 4-2 after Christian Saydee scored. Norwich have missed one and will be out if they miss another.
