Matthew Paradis

Matthew Paradis is a Senior R&D Engineer in the Audio Team. He received a Masters Degree in Music Technology from the University of York in 2000 and completed a PhD on user interaction for real-time audio control while working at the University of York's Music Research Centre where he is an Honorary Research Associate.

Matthew’s work is focused on delivering new responsive and interactive audio experiences predominantly in the browser. He is currently working on the Venue Explorer project and developing workflows for object-based audio broadcasting using the Web Audio API. He also supports the audio teams' software development planning and processes.

Matthew co-chairs the W3C Audio working group which oversees the specification of the Web Audio and Web Midi APIs.
