Ìý Fathers Campaigning for Equal Access Friday 24 October 2003 Ìý
Dads are in the headlines at the moment, and not just because it's Parents' Week.

Whether it's Bob Geldof arguing for fair treatment of divorced fathers or Fathers 4 Justice threatening to march through London over equal access, angry fathers feel that they are not valued as highly as mothers in the eyes of the law.
But as the government studies plans to make deciding access to children of divorced parents less acrimonious, new research suggests that a 50/50 split can be harmful.
Family lawyer Peggy Ray, writer Angela Philips and Jack O'Sullivan from Fathers Direct join Martha to discuss whether such battles are really in the best interests of the child.
