On the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, Woman's Hour takes a look at women's involvement in the troubles in Northern Ireland. Does the clichéd image of a strong woman holding her man back from violence have any basis in reality? Why were women virtually invisible for three decades of The Troubles? And what role is there for women in the peace process?
Jenni is joined by Jane Morrice, founder member of the Northern Ireland Women's Coalition and Professor Mari Fitzduff from the University of Ulster to talk about the troubles in Ireland on the anniversary of Bloody Sunday.
