Winning Women's Votes 07 Jan 2010
Valuing the female vote

With the unofficial general election campaign well underway, the early skirmishes about the role of marriage have made it clear that the family will form a crucial part of the electoral battleground. Meanwhile politicians of all hues are lining up to enlist the support of women, with Nick Clegg being the latest political leader to link up with mums in cyberspace. Between now and the General Election, Woman’s Hour will be looking at what matters most to you on the political agenda, and asking what would sway your vote. Woman's Hour plans to put your concerns to each of the main party leaders in a series of live interviews as we challenge them to win your vote. Today, in the first of our discussions, Jenni is joined by Seema Malhotra, Director of the Fabian Women’s Network, Conservative blogger Iain Dale, and CeriÌýGoddard, chief executive of the Fawcett Society.
